Hey Nick! That's really awesome that you are coming, I'm totally excited about our invitational too! Maybe we could hook up and talk or something. I knew some people last year from your group. Jessica Caley was a person I knew, also Jason was our host last year at your contest. I'm excited to see you guys perform again too!

Matt as far as solo comp schedules, they are getting faxed to your school this week. Your director should be getting them today or tomorrow. Our director didn't have a copy of them so I couldn't get the times for your school going. Ask your director this week and they should have it by next at the latest. If you don't have it yet, I'll get my director to give me a copy So I can let you know when your school performs for solo comps.

Solo Competition is in our Middle School Choir room. The Judges sit in the back and everyone else sits in the middle on chairs and you get the front!!! With a microphone of course. It's not that great of a system but it's not bad either. There should be Tapes for sale but I'm not sure you get to take them home that day. I think they get mailed out. I'm not sure if we are doing DVD's or not, I don't remember if we did them last year or not. I didn't look around that much! I was busy hosting my group!!! I will look for solo times or I'll get your host to email them to your director so that you guys will know. I think your host even uses this so I'll have them put it on here too! Or try to, doing that is if they have it figured out yet! I will try to get that to you! I hope I helped with your other questions. Feel free if you have more or I am unclear to keep asking, You may even IM me at angelswings246 or my msn messenger is [email protected] Feel free to ask me or message me anytime.

hello KnightMovesChick04,
could you possibly find out what the solo competition times are for homestead. And where is the solo competition at? is it in a room or on a stage?
Also, will there be tapes/dvd's available for sale?

thanks a lot!
ttyl
Have a nice day!

Hey everyone!!! I'm Nick I am also from Huntington North. Like Beth said, I am nervous. I have heard that everyone is really good this year and I want to personaly wish every choir out there the best of luck!!!! And I am also single as Beth is. I am really pumped for our first competition and I think its gonna be a toughie, but a goodie. I am looking forward to seeing all the groups this year especially Bishop Luers because i have a friend in that group that was on my baseball team. Kevin Godfrey if you read this, I'll be watching. If for some reason i got my people and choirs wrong on that let me know. I wanna wish all of you good luck once again and I will leave on this last phrase,"JASON JOHNSON"!!!!!!

I am looking forward to spending Valentine's Day with my valentine of 1 year, who just happens to be a Knight Moves alumnus and one of the emcees.

And, Laura is COOL and a sweetheart!! You would have to be insane not to like her.

Amanda (KnightMovesChick) is AWESOME! I can't wait to see you again!

No School again today! I love icy roads!!! Anyways, Really as soon as we have school again I'll find out from our director if we give out best soloist in show. I know that Ball State does, But I don't really remember if we do. Since I've been thinking about it more and more I really don't think that we do. I think that it is just Most Outstanding Performer for each group. So good Luck with Facials and Choreography everyone!!!! 10 DAYS!!!!

SuperTrooper, I think that we do give our best soloist. I asked an alumi and he thinks so also. It's a big possibility that we do. Good Luck to the Soloists in their shows!

Wow... Ive been checking this post since it started and I appriciate all the great things people have said about our show.... it means so much to all of us.... and I have finally decide to post my predictions so here it goes.

GC: Huntington North (I love your show every year, cant wait to see it!!!)
1st RU: Homestead (hopefully)
2nd RU: Carroll (always great)
3rd RU: Northrop (Awesome and improving every year! I LOVE YOU GUYS!)
4th RU: Shelbyville/Columbia City/ Brownsburg/ Luers (all of these groups are awesome and although I have yet to see any of them this year... I cont wait to see what they have in store)

Best Band: Homestead
Best Vocals: Huntington North/ Homestead
Best Choreography: Huntington north

If they give away best soloists in show I think Homestead may have the edge... not to be biased, but our soloist rock... Bridget and Sam (queen of the night and If ever I would leave you respectively)

Also good luck to all of you who are performing at our invitational. Hopefully I'll get to meet most of you that day. If any of you have questions don't be afraid to ask Manda or me. I agree it will be a toss up. I still don't know many of the groups coming. Well I know the full list, but I have not seen them to place them in any order. So other than thinking about who will be in finals I am totally unsure. It's all a toss up to me!

GC: Huntington North (Best Vocals & Best Choreography)
1st R-up: Homestead
2nd R-up: Carroll
3rd R-up: Shelbyville
4th R-up: Brownsburg
5th R-up: Northrop

I think GC is in the bag. Homestead and Carroll will be fighting for 2nd and 3rd, and the rest are pretty much a toss-up. Columbia City will also be close to the pack at 4th - 6th.
