God I love competition season. Moorsville was soooo much fun. I haven't had that much fun in a long time. Here's my opinions, I hope i don't offend anyone:

North Central- Man you guys can do it all. Your vocals were amazing, your choreography was both dificult and together (which is awsome when you have that many people), and your band rocks hardcore.

Ben Davis- Your show has great vocals and choreography, but the great parts of your show are your visuals and (my favorite) the fact that its looks so fun to do. It captivates people because they just want to get up there and do the show with you. I loved it. I'm still singing your songs in my head.

Mt. Zion- Great job as usual. I think you guys did everything right, but Ben Davis and North Central both had shows that were so hard not to like and easy to get in to.

Franklin Central- At first i thought the cookie thing would be dumb but when you guys were done i was laughing my butt off. It was great. I loved it.

Brownsburg- Wow! Vocals were amazing. I mean it. Your vocals kicked butt. I almost cried. But, don't take this the wrong way, the choreography could have been a little more difficult. Even with as many people as you have I still think you could have pulled off some awsome choreography had it been given to you.

Plainfield- Well this is my school and i was on stage when when we were performing (duh) So if anyone has any input on our show (good or bad) I would appreciate it very much. You can e-mail me or post it.

Thanks,
Chuck

Does anyone know how this alleged tie was broke?

The judges voted for who would become the grand champs, and North Central won the vote.

i would just like to thank you all for all of the negative comments being made about my choir...ben davis high school....(obviously sarcastic)

Give me a break, we both just said we didn't like the show. Nothing wrong with that, we're allowed to not agree with everyone else and like EVERY group we EVER see.

BeauxGuy- You call us haters for not enjoying Ben Davis' show, but in the same post say you wanted to "ralph" during Franklin Central's show?!? Wake up dude...

Oh Dru...you never like BD...EVER.

Don't worry, I still heart you.

Ben Davis rocked. I'm really suprised we had a tie between each other. You guys are awesome. Although, I was very shocked to hear some of the things you were saying about us throughout the day, and to our faces as if we do not respect you in a way.. I thought we were cool. Heh. You were definitely nice to us at your own competition... I'm not entirely sure what you have against us, and I'm sorry you feel that way

WOW HOW WAS THIS HAPPENING IM APPOLOGIZE FOR ANY NEGATIVE COMMENTS MADE TOWARDS YOUT GUYS AND I WILL LET THEM KNOW THIS IN CLASS BECAUSE BEN DAVIS USUALLY IS QUIET ABOUT EVERY THING CAUSE THE DIRECTOR TELLS US NOT TO CRITQUE OTHER SCHOOLS LIKE THAT. I WILL MAKE SURE THEY KNOW THIS AND IM EVER SORRY KRISTEN

BUT I AM SUPPRISED WE TIED WITH YOU GUYS TOO THAT MADE US FEEL REALLY GOOD BECAUSE THAT LET US KNOW THAT WE ARE AT LEAST GOOD AS ONE OF THE TOP CHOIRS OUT OF Indiana SO WE TOOK THAT SECOND PLACE TROPHY HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS AND US

Calm down ..

The Mooresville Competition was fun. Wasn't as crazy as Ben Davis' (not their fault, it's mine for being in two show choirs) so I was really relaxed at this one.

I thought all the choirs in finals did an amazing job. I was totally shocked by Mt. Zion and totally thought they were going to be Grand Champs. I don't know..

I'm really happy though. Counter Points listened to the judge's tapes and made all the adjustments they told us too..(which is why our vocals were a lot more calm in the first number as someone said was weak..yet, it wasn't because all of the judges told us to have a more lighter song b/c we were dominating the place like mad and didn't like it..) so we adjusted...to having a more lighter sound. SOFT ENERGY.

Anyway, I was extremely impressed with Brownsburg from when I saw them at Norwell. I thought they did awesome..

I didn't get to see Plainfield, although, I heard we made one of the girls cry during our ballad which is beautiful.

I'm not entirely sure what you have against us, and I'm sorry you feel that way.

All the soloists were amazing in all the sets I thought. I mean, whoa.

This is becoming way too long so I should stop. I just was really impressed by all the groups and honestly, I thought it could be ANYBODIE'S grand champion. Was a very a hard competition... Keep it up.. I can't wait to see some of you again at North Central's Competition.

Nothing against the brownsburg people...but i just dont really get into your show either...its just such a typical show choir show...(if that makes any sense) your vocals are amazing in your ballad...but that tends to happen when you have 60 friggin people on stage....Congrats to the north central descants on winning the girls division!

Does anyone know how this alleged tie was broke?

My Thoughts (all based on night shows):

Plainfield: Pretty good, I don't remember much of it. I do know that it was a huge improvement from when I've seen them in the past.

Brownsburg: I don't know why, but I just can't get into this show. It really doesn't have any interesting parts to it. The closer costumes are really cool. I never complain about people talking during performances, but the girl's group was horrible. I swear I don't think they stopped talking once. An annonymous parent turned around and said to me "If only they sang and danced as well as they talk during everyone's performance they'd be set." Couldn't have said it better myself dry.gif

Franklin Central: That "Cookies" novelty number was awesome, it's one of my favorites of all time. Major props to the stage crew for actually getting involved with the song and having fun. The opener was kick ass, it was an awesome song and cool choreography.

Mount Zion: Nothing amazing, a little over-hyped in my opinion. Just a good, solid, strong show with AWESOME soloists and costumes.

Ben Davis: Don't ask me how you did it, but you did. I'm still not a fan of the show. The going on and off stage without costume changes got a little annoying. I think in the opener alone you did it three times. The novelty number was cool.

North Central: I was very upset with the evening performance. The vocals were almost completely lost in the opener. I've heard the soloists do a better job. The ballad still is absolutely breathtaking. Visuals were much improved from Ben Davis, adding a 4th row of risers really helped.

How I would have had it:
GC: North Central
2nd: Franklin Central
3rd: Mount Zion
4th: Brownsburg
5th: Ben Davis
6th: Plainfield
