Omaha Westside- I love your show. I think you do have better vocals... but I think your choregoraphy is easy... but clean. I think you guys were awesome at Onalaska and UNL! Jill... I watched you half of the show, your facials and energy is awesome!

Millard West- I really like your show... especially the nerd song, awesome novelty... I liked the opener, very cool.

MORE TO COME!

I know.. I just asked if this was a lot of snow for Nebraska - I guess it is. Being from SD originally, I've actually been stuck in worse - so I was surprised. But I'm obviously not arguing.

I just looked at your pics. of the Westside kids.. funny stuff.... What's the name of the kid in the curly hair?!? Honestly, I couldn't take my eyes off him during the competition at UNL... he's a performer.. and his hair is like the coolest thing ever! lol!!

Sorry, I was most definetely thinkin Omaha North!! My bad.. seriously.. I didn't mean to...

Ok, now that you posted what your show was, I remember! woo!!

Ok, I love the song "Louder than Words" I heard it from a few different choirs last year, but I still love the song nonetheless. I didn't really like Remedy, but that's just me. I don't know what it was about it, I just did not care for it. I liked the ballad. But I did really like your closer - the American songs and such. That sounded really good. I feel really bad that I mixed you up with North! I need to learn to not have such short-term memory. Might help me out in the long run....

And I'm very angry you don't have school - I wish we didn't!! More sleepy time for me!

Oh Jillian....it was only 3 mountain dews....2 within 15 minutes of each other...and well it's not that much different than how I act anyways. SuperAlto, we didn't do "She Bangs" and weak vocals wouldn't make much sense...we got 1st place vocals at Onalaska during the prelims...but there is a curly haired guy. Our show is:
Louder than Words
Remedy
Crazy Bout Ya Baby
There She Stands
Pink Houses/We're an American Band

I've had like 4 mt. dews today - needless to say my hyperness level is absolutely nuts right now!

Ok, Westside's show - one I did see, but for some reason can't remember too much of. I remember their vocals weren't too strong... and I remember one particular performer - some cute curly haired guy.. he was quite entertaining to watch. At least I hope this was Westside, it coulda been North... wow, I can't believe I'm mixing them up. I think Westside did "She Bangs" the Ricky Martin song I think. They did some sort of percussion drumming thing that I thought was pretty cool. Yeah, I'll have to go find somebody that remembers them and ask them.. I've said this so many times today already..

I just wanted to correct something...since I couldn't see Westside's show from the outside, I guess I only think the results were right if we had about the same or lesser vocal quality than D-port. Otherwise, I think we should have beat them.
And Millard West's show is decent. They do a number from "I Do, I Do" I don't remember what it's called but it's REALLY funny. That's really all I remember about their show...sorry I was really caffeinated that night and don't remember much.

i thought millard west was pretty weak. i didn't like their costuming and you couldn't understand them. their energy was decent and the people seemed to be having fun, but it couldn't make up for their sound.

How is Millard West's show this year?

Well...I didn't get to see Westside from the outside, considering I was on stage GO BEST COMBO!! but...

David from Davenport West was awesome. Like amazing.

I thought the sound at Pershing REALLY sucked. They didn't get our soloists mics turned on which was REALLY annoying. I haven't seen the point scores, anyone know how close they were? I'm guessing Ankeny, D-port, and Westside were a lot closer than the GI schools and Millard West. I really liked Ankeny and D-port's show and unbiasedly, I think the results were pretty accurate. If I be biased (that was really poor English) WESTSIDE SHOULD HAVE WON!!!! Did I mention we won best combo? But yeah, I had fun at the comp and I thought the judging was very fair and accurate.

Congrats to everyone at UNL this weekend! I love Ankeny and they deserved a first place! I'm still excited to see Davenport West....

Kind of a weird question but my top choice for college is UNL because of their music program and I was just accepted yesterday, I'm really excited but I've never even been to Lincoln, Nebraska. I won't be there until my music audition on Feb. 21st...can anyone maybe PM me and tell me what exactly its like, how you liked the town, campus if you saw it, etc.? I'm really interested to know, thanks!!
