Cuyahoga Falls - To be honest, I didn't think that your show was better than Solon's. It was like a mini-musical, you all were very energetic and into it. Although it seemed like your theme was "Yay! Let's beat our wives!" -- Euclid decided that next year we're having a theme against black people (since we're really diverse), and then maybe we'll place higher, since the judges love your show.

Ummm... did you watch our show? Because the girls definately beat US up. Plus, it was only one number... Wifebeater set... heh! I don't think the judges would let us live if that were the case.

Oh, and your prelims are wrong there. The top 5 prelims went the same order as the finals. No one jumped places at all

I totally agree with Yuri I felt that Beavercreek, Solon (OMG GRAND CHAMP right there), and Cuyahoga Falls should've made it!

Medina-
I didn't like your repetoire! I liked your vocals!but your coreography could've been a TAD bit more intense

Solon-

Beavercreek-

Medina is awesome, and I am happy for them. I'm just dissapointed for other groups who didn't place as well.

I wish people would just be happy for medina. We have worked really hard for this. And don't say we don't dance unless you have danced our show. How could you really know to make a coment like that. I have seen other showchiors win and people on these forums are so nice to them. Well anyway good job to everyone last night.

No, sorry it came out the way it did ... but I am happy for Medina. Your ballad was beautiful, and you definitely have amazing vocals over choreography. You guys look like you have worked hard, and you are definitely an amazing group. With that said, I still feel that the competition was so good at Brush, that it's hard to say where groups would have came out. For me, I saw Solon, who sang as well as you guys, and danced as well as Beavercreek, winning GC. Then I saw Beavercreek next because they had a good balance of both dance and singing. And although, your vocals were amazing ... I saw your choreography as being easy and simple -- but that's also how groups get good vocals, they water down choreography. Sorry if I offended you, because I really didn't mean to at all, since you've been so nice to me in the past.[

Medina is awesome, and I am happy for them. I'm just dissapointed for other groups who didn't place as well.

I am happy for all of you, congratulations. First of all, I said I wasn't even at the compitition so it doesn't matter. And second, I said that there were judging mistakes and I didn't say anything about you. So be proud of your win, good luck this year.

I didn't see this compitition, but from what I know from seeing some of these groups earlier this year and in past years...........those results are absolutely wrong, there is no way. That is all I will say.

i totally agree, yuri will probably agree to how maybe one or two schools shouldn't have made finals, two schools should have, and one of the schools that did make it deserved to make higher than what they did!!!

that's all i will say along with i think that the judging was alll unfair. who cares if you're traditional or not!

btw- Sarah, Corey, and Logan, YOU ALL ROCKED (GO BEAVERCREEK!!!!!)

solon- friends forever! beautiful ballad, great vocals, very good clean choreography, great facials, and i just love u period!!!!!

w c- nice show compared to last year.

c f- interesting show also better than last year, and very good diction.

medina- very nice ballad/vocals, cute costumes, and loved the mirrors/lights!!!

euclid- could have been better, but still deserved better accordingv to tons (literally) of ppl!!!!! it's okay tho.

Final Results
GC - Medina
2nd - Beavercreek
3rd - Cuyahoga Falls
4th - West Clermont
5th - Solon
6th - Euclid

Best Vocals - Medina
Best Choreography - Beavercreek
Best Combo - West Clermont
People's Choice - Euclid

Alright, all I have to say is ... what a wacked out competition, the results were effin' crazy. And I hope no one gets offended by this.

First off -- out of the groups that won the caption awards Solon totally deserved to take Best Vocals (amazing vocals), and Best Choreography. That ballad was outstanding (the best I have ever heard, in my life), and got a full house standing ovation. Man, Solon -- you guys rock. Your show was extremely on point tonight, and Euclid loves you. Your choreography is amazingly clean, and just perfect. Ugh, it makes me mad that you placed so low in finals, I was totally convinced that you guys would have placed in the top 2.

Beavercreek - Your show was soo cute, I loved when the guys tore off their pants, that was hilarious. Very clean choreography ... pretty good vocals. I think it should have been You and Solon, 1 and 2.

Medina - I didn't think your vocals were as good as you scored. Yes, they were amazing, but they out - scored Solon by a lot, and in my opinion, Solon's vocals were noticably better. Your choreography was way simple as well, but with the simplicity, it still wasn't clean. Good job though, I loved the guy feature and the uniforms lime green and pink is hott.

West Clermont - I don't even know what to say (about those outfits - it's not like we can talk tho, lol) ... That show ran way over time. Good job though, I thought it was a huge improvement from last year. Good soloists, a little too many, but they were good.

This is how I'd place the groups.
GC - Solon (I'm totally stuck on this, they were like obviously the best to me)
2nd - Beavercreek
3rd - Medina
4th - Cuyahoga Falls
5th - West Clermont

Best Vocals - Solon
Best Choreography - Solon

And now about the judging. The judging was wacked out. To shed some light on Euclid's preformance. We sucked, it was an odd time to preform at, half of us were sick, two kids in our group had asthma attacks because of the bronchitis going on in our group. We totally weren't on point. However, I do think it's weird that we placed 5th in Choreography behind MEDINA -- they didn't move (but that's alright, because they did have really good vocals). We got killed by our show theme again ... the judges this year seem to hate our show. This is also probably why Solon placed so low ... all the choirs that placed higher were totally classy show choirs that were traditional and whatnot ... blah.

Prelim results from what I know.

Vocals -
1. Medina
... then all I know is that we were tied with Solon in vocals.

Choreography -
1. Beavercreek
2. West Clermont

4. Medina
5. Euclid

or something like that, all I know is we were 5th in choreography, with Medina beating us -- which is wack, because Medina barely danced.

Overall Prelims -
1. Medina
2. Beavercreek
3. West Clermont
4. Cuyahoga Falls
5. Solon
6. Euclid

Oh yeah -- and to the Dover director, I love you! She came up to a group of us and said "Euclid, I think you guys are amazing, and I've been to your competitions these past two weeks and really think you guys have been jipped, these judges don't know what they're talking about" ... and just so you know, that meant the world to us ... Dover -- you guys rock.

Anyway -- funny story. Our school system is really poor, and whatnot, and our buses personify that, on our way home from Mentor we lost pressure or something like that, and we had to walk a block or two to our school. Then today, we took two buses to Brush, and on the way home our bus broke down, so we had to find the second bus and pile us all on there. Then after we did that ... the bus started following us ... we were like "What the hell ... I thought it broke down" because we were sitting on the bus like 4 to the seat. Hah, it was funny. Brush was a good competition ... whacked up judges ... but nevertheless, amazingly fun. Good times.

No, I'm not making us sound bad at all, if I said that our choreography, vocals, and combo sucked, then I would be making it sound like we suck, but I'm just saying that the judges could hate our theme, as the two from Mentor did, but you see, those two judges made a whole lot of difference, seeing that if they would have liked our show theme, we would have gotten Grand Champions at Mentor and Best Combo. Seeing that the instrumental judge alone took off 11 points, because our theme didn't have us playing enough 'variety' of songs (which it did), and mind you we lost Best Combo by 5 points, and 1st place by 4 points. We don't suck, just some judges won't like our show this year, and there's nothing we can do about that.

Hmmm -- and if these predictions seem wacked out, it's probably because a lot of me is hoping Euclid will do well (which we may not, because judges seem to hate the pop-ness and hip-hop-ness of our show) ... so I guess it's a little biased *wink*, but Brush, is going to be a really fun competition, and it's going to interesting to see how the results turn out.

we only had like 1 judge who didn't like us, and we weren't far from 1st place in prelims(only by 4pts.)

u make it sound like they all hated the "popness or hiphopness", but it was just the one instrumentalist judge, and the lady who thought the colors clashed, and she still did like us!!!

u make us sound bad, and don't forget it will be a new group of judges also!

I haven't seen them this year, but I hear they're doing great, but also .... we're not saying they're bad by not placing them in finals, we're just saying that there are going to be a lot of really good groups, and it's going to be difficult for them (as everyone else) to make finals, since space is limited.
