The young man's name who won "Best male soloist" from Clinton is Christian Trejo.

He was excellent.

There are a few interesting posts/comments in this thread about the judging/final placement of the groups here.

That's fine. But, if anyone could give us some details on how the shows were & the way they thought the placements were going to go, that'd be sweeeet.

Best male solo to Clinton. Missed his name. Robin Mazer gets best female for PH.
Insync gets best acapella.
Clinton gets best costumes (really?)

Powerhouse is third.

Clinton gets show and music.

Burbank is second.

Clinton wins!

I know the entire Eisenhower Middle School show choir "Five Star" (New Mexico) is in attendance for Tier I tonight; gonna be a late night for them! Bet they're having a blast, though.

We don't really give best band on the west coast because most combos aren't all-students anymore. Often times they'll give best soloist or best performer, but I'm not sure what Los Al specifically has in store this year. It seems to change all the time. Last year they gave best crew and best costumes; in 2012 it was best a capella and most spirited. Guess we'll just have to wait to see.

Los Alamitos gave out Best Soloist awards for the entire division and chose one individual from every choir as an "Outstanding Performer."

Teasing me at such a stressful time, gawsh Häakon. (And I know you were. :p )

Seriously though, I was refreshing the page every few seconds. These are probably my three favourite choirs. Do you know what the other caption awards are, besides best vocals and choreography?

I was too busy refreshing the page to see if results had been posted to check right away. After I posted I looked it up but my edit didn't show up.

I'm just teasing ya, friend.

Adam's lack of balls to make a prediction on the other hand...

I believe Los Al started their host performance a few minutes ago so awards should be starting in about 30-40 minutes. Or about 3:30am in Ohio time. Oh, the things we do for show choir...
