If anyone has daytime scores, that would clear up a lot I think.

Madison Central's show was groundbreaking--the use of electronic instrumentation, the acapella ballad with director, the use of backdrops outside of the curtain (idk if others do this).

Might snag show concept award.

Talked with Albertville's directors wife....she said they were not penalized for anything. Just to clear that one up. Albertville was not penalized.

Dang... Well I can't say I totally agree with the placement call... But hey the judges do what they do! Im sure they caught some things I didnt necessarily notice! i trust their call! I'm sure I just opened up a can of worms hahaha

Madison Central just finished and then there will be a solo finalist. After that is Attache, for those wondering.

West Jones did receive a penalty for time and also a "hazard" back stage (broken light bulb). Penalties worth around 30 points of penalties... I am also pretty positive Albertville did receive penalties for time and their Microphones... I'm not as positive about that but... The show itself was longer than 25 minutes.

Is a thirty point penalty enough to effect the outcome?

It would've not effected placement, but it would've been a single digit point spread from 1st to third...

Correction to "wj_imagination" guy. Albertville DID NOT receive a penalty for anything. That is NOT the reason they didn't make finals. As far as a penalties, Madison Central is the only group that received penalties today.

Does anyone have a performance time for Clinton?

They'll probably start somewhere in the 10:35-10:45pm range.

What would Madison Central have been penalized for?

My apologies for the incorrect information there. I was told my a performer that the time penalty was given to Albertville. Regardless, great job to CenterStage! and to all of the groups from today! Thanks for hosting, Petal! Now get your seats cuz' I can't wait to see Oak Grove! (and of course all the other Finalists.)

Also notable: Pisgah "Innergy" is no longer undefeated in Tier III this season. "Innergy" was 4-0 this season and placed higher than Sumrall "Legacy" at all four of those competitions, but I guess "Legacy" got the best of them today.

My friends and I are wondering about the fire and ice thing as well. Is it possibly Petal's show theme or did they randomly have a competition theme?

This year, Soundsations' theme is fire and Innovations' theme is ice. So, we decided to have the same themes for our competition!

Funny. I'm here. And everyone is waiting outside the lobby. They're not letting anyone in yet.

As to the Albertville thing: it seemed as though it was taking a long time for them to set up so I thought that there may have been a time issue. I contacted a friend of mine that performed and she said that indeed that was the case. We have been talking a lot on the Southern forums lately about set-up/tear down of the band, sets, etc. This is a perfect example of why groups should have backdrops that are easy to set up/remove.
