Did Nitro compete? I remember reading something that they had a speech meet or something like that? Anyway, congrats Poca!! After ARTS I could almost predict these results. You all blew me away there!! Again great job!

Yes Nitro was there. Just not our year.

That's the way it used to be but Kincaid got the rules changed so that it is now a vote instead of a rotating schedule. He proposed that Poca host for the next two years and no one at the WVMEA conference objected.

Mr. Kincaid is the chairperson of the competition for the next two years. It is my understanding that no else wanted the position.

I thought that we did our best show of the season yesterday. *shrugs*

I guess the fix will be in for Poca next year too. Oh I mean the competiton will be hosted by Poca next year. If anyone goes. Martinsburg was clearly the best group today what a joke. Poca has a good show but not to Martinsburg's level. Does Poca go anywhere Lynn Knoble doesn't judge??????

1) Lynn Knoble wasn't the only judge at States, keep in mind.

2) I'm pretty sure that Lynn Knoble only judged at two (maybe three) of the competitions we attended.

3) It isn't fixed. We hosted it last year, and received second, losing to Hurricane.

People need to stop bringing drama to where drama shouldn't be. It was a competition that was very close; obviously there are going to be people that aren't happy about their standings.

On another note, I was surprised that Nitro wasn't in the top five. They have had my favorite show of the season for two years in a row. Congrats on their superior rating.

And yes, we are hosting the competition the next two years. It'll be at the Civic Center, and we hope to see everyone there. (:

It sure doesn't hurt when your director is handing out the trophies with the score sheet in his hand. Or, when he hosts the judges for dinner on Friday. Kincaid finally got what he wanted. Congrats!!

What happened to Nitro? I expected that they would at least place since they had a pretty good season.

So are the rules not two years and then you have to wait, anymore?

I don't think next year is Poca again. That will be the third in a row.

I believe that Poca got in again for the next two year.

ALL I KNOW IS POCA GOT GRAND CHAMPS.

GC- POCA
1R- MARTINSBURG
2RU- HURRICANE
3RU- ST ALBANS
4RU CABELL MIDLAND

One judge had St. Albans clearly in first. Another judge had us tied with Poca. The last judge had us in 5th place which caused St. Albans a good standing.
