I know Riverdale will not be attending, and I believe that Van Buren has dropped also due to level two and three snow emergencies in our area.

Hopefully all the groups still attending drive safe and make it there and back home safe and sound!

Sheridan was moved to noon, but just confirmed dropping due to weather. The call was just made. We wish all groups the best of luck.

Hopefully things don't get too much worse. I remember back in 2010, there was a huge ice storm and only 11 groups made it out to the Showcase.

Well folks, just as an update for this event page. As SCC Staff and Crew we will do our best to maintain accurate schedules, but when things like winter storms happen - it's unpredictable and you just got to bear with us.

How bad is the weather in Ohio/Midwest? It seems like there have already been a lot of choirs cancel this season and even events as a whole cancel. What's with that? I feel sad for Wapak who have had to cancel both Central Crossing and now Marysville. Seems like an unfortunate situation for all choirs and competitions involved and just seems abnormally high so far this early competition season. Granted, I'm also in Arizona with 70 degree weather and sun.

At this point everything is still happening tomorrow. We just need the snow to NOT happen. Here is the updated schedule.

Please note there is a JUDGES BREAK, so the times of the groups after the judges break are as follows. The original post was incorrect.

*Wapakoneta and Sheridan are on "standby" because they are not able to travel during the morning hours due to weather.

That's apparently how they are judging it. There isn't a separate women's division at Showcase since it would be only PE. PE competed in Tier I last year as well and made finals. Although moving forward, it's hopeful that there might be more women's divisions at Ohio competitions especially considering the two new Ohio women's choirs at Medina and ETC.
