ideas are already making there way through members of the planning committee for the third annual Premiere next year. I can only see this competition bringing in bigger and better names and just improving the systems and hospitality overall. I already have hosting this competition 10 months from now in the back of my mind.

Whoa this seems to be the first look at the "new" Millennium against an out of state powerhouse. (Barring their 4 point loss to WWS at big dance 2012) Might have to attend! Also wonder if this would possibly give BG a leg up on the Illinois schools that don't compete as early!

Wayyy to early predictions
GC: Waukee (BV/BB)
1RU: Buffalo Grove (BC)
2RU: Johnston
3RU: IC High
4RU: Xavier
5RU: CR Jeff

Super pumped!

Ooooohh one caption off, easily the closest I've come in regards to show choir results

Well tomorrow is the big day! I'm SO excited to see a great lineup of groups tomorrow! Not to sound self promoting at all, but it would be great if everyone came and watched The Ambassadors perform at 7:30! We have another great theme show this year and you will not be disappointed! I'll be up in the balcony mostly all day since I'm a judges assistant so feel free to say hi!

Oh and the hashtag for tomorrow is #Premiere2014 USE IT PEOPLE!

I really wish I could go to Prairie, this competition is going to be so awesome- especially the fight between BG and Waukee!! Unfortunately, I am booked all day Good luck to everyone! Random predictions that probably won't be right so don't hold them against me.

1RU: Waukee (BV)
2RU: Johnston
3RU: Cedar Rapids Jefferson
4RU: Cedar Rapids Xavier
5RU: Iowa City High

Have a great day everyone!!!

Only two days away! Hopefully the bad weather that is expected to come tomorrow doesn't effect the groups traveling on Saturday. We're excited to have a great lineup this year and all of us can't wait to host you! After deliberating a little more and thinking things through I'm going to update my predictions

GC: Buffalo Grove (BC/BB)
1RU: Waukee (BV)
2RU: CR Jefferson
3RU: Johnston
4RU: IC High
5RU: Xavier

Does anybody else have anymore before the big day?

This is going to be an awesome competition! Should be fun to see top notch show choirs go at in this early in the year! I think it could be a toss up between Buffalo Grove, Jefferson, Waukee, and also IC High is coming off of a phenomenal year last year! Super hard to predict… but!
Here is my shot in the dark

GC: Waukee (BV)
1RU Buffalo Grove (BC)
2RU CR Jefferson
3RU IC High (BB)
4RU Johnston
5RU Xavier

Cant wait to see them all! Good luck everyone!

Predictions:
GC: Buffalo Grove (BC, BB)
1RU: Waukee (BV)
2RU: Cedar Rapids Jefferson
3RU: Iowa City
4RU: Johnston
5RU: Xavier
I chose Buffalo Grove as the champion because they are habitually truly phenominal from the start to finish of their season (Not saying the other groups aren't). Choreo is always tight and the band is truly fantastic. I saw them at WWS and they took my breath away. Waukee is fantastic as well but I think the main point of their success is their great vocals. Buffalo Grove's vocals are also great so it will come down to the choreo and band. The two bands are probably ging to end up being a wash because they're both very even and both very good. It will come down to choreo. Buffalo Grove will most likely edge out Waukee on choreo both because of Buffalo Grove's incredible difficulty and execution. Next onto 2RU, CRJ always brings a great performance. Their shows are usually traditional but it really works. They'll have high choreo scores as they're always very clean. Iowa City is solid as well. They could definetly give CRJ a run for their money. IC is probably the most well rounded group attending as they don't have a specified strong suit. They are just a very solid group. Johnston and Xavier will take the last two spots. They're both grand and it could go either way. Xavier executes everything really good from the get go. I believe their choreo is easier than they are capable of. They could do much more. Johnston starts their season alright. I think their shows are really put together. The difficulty is there. They are captivating. Of course, since this is show choir, everything could go any way. Who knows, Buffalo Grove may take 5RU and Xavier may take GC.

I just realized how great of a prep competition this is going to be too! Both the Kennedy and Waukee prep groups are coming off of good seasons last year and I'm expecting the same this year. Jefferson's Ovation is looking pretty fierce this season as well and I think they will give Protege and Spirit a run for their money! I don't know what IC High is up to this year so I can only go off of last year.

My predictions just for the fun of it

1st: Kennedy
2nd: Jefferson
3rd: Waukee
4th: IC High
