Congrats to Omaha Skutt on making finals for the first time! It will be neat to see what they do at Norris next weekend, along with Papillion South. Also, good job to ATSC. Nebraska show choir season just wouldn't be the same without at least one Westside sweep

While adding the results, I found it interesting that this was the first competition for PLV South "Titanium," yet PLV "Free Spirit" has competed 6 times. Funny how they are on such different schedules.

Yeah it's pretty sad that our season begins just as theirs ends!

Also, to add on to the whomever asked about daytime placements, Westside was in first, Papillion South in second by three points, and Papillion in third. I can double check that to make sure but I'm pretty sure that's how "Free Spirit" ended up after prelims. Three judges scored prelims with a total of around six hundred points total. The two critique judges came and judged for finals as well and somehow it was calculated that the total possible point total was around twelve hundred points for finals. I don't quite know what the spread was like between Papillion South and Westside for finals.

Thank you to Elkhorn South for a very well run competition for its first year of existence! It was great meeting Dylan of Elkhorn South and several nice ladies from Lincoln Northeast. Everyone was great hosts and I know our choirs had some of the most fun that we've had at a show choir competition in our entire careers. Thank you again!

Also the moment when Titanium actually sang "I am titanium" was awesomeeeee. They were on fire.

With Titanium vocals, that's gotta be pretty sick.

I also know that Papillion goes first, Papillion South goes fifth, and Westside goes sixth. This is NOT and indication of Prelims placements.

Really nice groups indeed!

Also, that theatre is a dead zone. No reception </3 aside from that great competition!

Still love Gretna's show. Also the moment when Titanium actually sang "I am titanium" was awesomeeeee. They were on fire.

Also the theatre here is beautiful.
Oh and there is orange chicken.
Oh and free wifi.
So this is pretty much the best competition ever.

So, they have chili cheese dogs that are HUGE and you get to serve yourself your own amount of chili and the people here are so friendly and the auditorium is beautiful and I love it here. Ok I'm done fangirling now.

I already told Elle this, but I'm absolutely in love with your show and if you guys make finals, I will make sure every single person in Titanium is there to cheer you on because you guys deserve it!

Thanks man! It means a lot! I hope we get a chance to see your show. Like maybe if we both make finals or something! Good luck to you and all in attendance today!

^that is too bad. Speaking of which, does anyone know which Illumination came first: Papillion South or Millard North? I wonder if they both are dead set in their names or if one of them would ever consider a name change.

Actually, we had a friendly debate as to which came first. It came up that Papillion South established a women's show choir about two or three years after Titanium was created. However, the original name was something to the affect of "Lady Titans." The name "Illumination" wasn't officially given to the choir until my eighth grade year which was five years ago. As far as I understand, Millard North didnt create their women's group until my freshman year. So, technically Papillion South held the name "Illumination" first. However, nobody in our choirs have any harsh feelings about sharing the same name. It adds a lot of fun to competitions that they both attend I think and it also adds a little more competitive spirit.

Also, I left Gretna off my finals prediction list; I'd be surprised if they missed finals.

Unfortunately, Papillion South's "Illumination" will not be able to attend this weekend. Both of our other choirs will still compete on Saturday. Since "Illumination" was the last group to perform before lunch, I can't imagine the schedule changing much, if at all.

Less than three days!

Sad to hear. Hopefully they would move everyone up. Starting at 7:00 is awful.....
