Good to see Papillion South begin their competition schedule! I predict a Westside sweep only because I imagine Titanium will still be a bit "fresh", while ATSC may be peaking right about now.
The 20 minute time slots for prep/women's groups seems tight. Hopefully everything runs smoothly this weekend!
I was thinking the same thing. The few prep show choirs I have seen this year have had only 4 songs and if there were five songs, they were pretty short. So, this might be the mentality that whomever scheduled the event had. However, this thought process hasn't necessarily applied to women's choirs with, more often than not, five songs and a costume change. I was also a tad concerned with the quick turnaround that the first finalist group would have after daytime awards. I imagine that the competition will run a little behind, but seeing as this competition is scheduled to get done somewhat early, I'm not terribly worried whatsoever. Mr. Lambert is also an experienced director in the show choir world so everything should run very smoothly.
On behalf of the Papillion-LaVista South choirs, I would love to say that we are enthusiastic about competing against some of the best choirs here in Nebraska. We would like to wish nothing but heartfelt performances, many smiles, classiness, and good friendly competition. We look forward to the always positive attitudes of Elkhorn South students and seeing our many friends in Papillion-LaVista choirs and in Westside choirs amongst many others. Saturday shall be a boat-load of fun!
