Remember when topics like these were able to reach something like 80 pages? It's sad that no one really posts anything anymore. I saw that sometime last night it rose to about 200 users but still not many posts.

What do you mean by too loud? Shouty vocals? Pitchy? From the live feed I did think Burbank was loud, but IMO on pitch and not shouty. They were loud in a good way I thought.

When watching show choir online I'm usually not "wowed" by vocals because of recording quality but Burbank really wowed me tonight! I won't say they got robbed, however, because WV was deserving. I personally liked Burbank's show better and especially found it the most entertaining of the night, but that's just me. I frankly don't see how either show can be knocked because they both brought their best (and the best from these two really is something else).

I mean that the sound system was jacked on FFF and Burbank did not adjust to it or take advantage of their right to have someone at the sound table telling the sound dude to take it down a notch or two. Waubonsie made dang sure by having Dwight sit right by the sound board. You would not know that from the live feed because different people controlled that. (the DVD makers)

Were you there? Burbank was really too loud in finals. Let the hate begin.

So because I wasn't sitting in the audience at the school, I'm not allowed to have an opinion? I watched the stream and, last time I checked, the stream is what is happening AT the gym.

Who was the group that did the Egyptian theme? I didn't get to see them but I saw them after their performance.

Their theme is the Exodus!!

Apparently a few judges had Burbank behind Mitchell in prelims

I just got off work, and the site which has the feed says "stream not found".

I really don't want to have to go through the pain and suffering of waiting for my DVDs to come in the mail before getting a chance to see some of these shows. Does anyone know if the feed is rewindable or if it has been taken down for good?

Burbank has one of the most entertaining shows in the past few years. Like dang. Waubonsie Valley had fantastic vocals and deserved the win. It was a fantastic fight in finals overall. Easily the best competition, group wise, in a long time. Every group did a great job today! AND they ended a half an hour EARLY. Which is an amazing feat in itself.

I feel the way many do on here: Burbank should have walked away with this one. But, congrats to WV and all competing groups.

Although Auburn got 6th, I absolutely loved their show! It was exciting and interesting to watch, and of course their main male soloist was for sure a crowd favorite Watching all of these groups in person was exciting and emotional, and I don't think any group today should feel any ashamed on how they performed- you all killed it!

I really like how quick that awards ceremony was. Literally there was no drawing it out or suspense… just straight to the point.

Congrats to all groups! It was quite the enjoyable day of show choir. The live feed was great!

I loved that too! Especially because I was at the grocery store with my wife watching the awards on my phone trying not to use all my data

Also, I'm curious to hear if there was a point deduction for Burbank's director being part of the show that made the difference in the final outcome? Or was it irrelevant?

Not to brag... (too much) but I saw it coming. I am not from IL but know judging can be parochial. I don't believe it took local judges to pick WV over In Sync in the finals I saw by the stream feed. WV vocals were excellent and their choreo was tight and amazing.

I am a big Cali Show Choir fan since seeing Burroughs several years ago in Fairfield. Love their unique shows and the themes / story telling they seem to have picked up. I hope that the Midwest can start to bring some of that flair regionally.

Overall I was extremely pleased. I believe our friends from Solon could have very easily been included in the finals with a couple of the choirs being equal or less than their show. But alas I am no judge, just a semi addicted former show choir Dad.

Truly epic competition today! So proud of the Burbank folks for their amazing work,...thank you for letting me be a small part of your large engine. To BG, you have one of my favorite tenor soloists I've seen in 32 years of show choir competitions! To Waubonsie,..congrats on a hard-earned victory. To Wheaton,...another great competition held in a classy, professional and very friendly manor. God bless, Damon Brown
