I just want to play the proud alumni and point out that Olentangy was in 4th place in prelims. They improved so much from the first time I saw them two weeks earlier at Medina's competition and I'm just really proud of what they accomplished this year. I love seeing that even though they are a bit smaller in size they can still compete with some of the bigger groups.

can anyone share the spread between findlay, etc, and twinsburg??

Also can someone give feedback on all three of the groups?

I do know point spreads and I could let you know these, but in a personal message rather than all over here, as I would consider that to be in better taste

I personally can't speak to the point spread, but I had the honor to see all the groups in prelims and finals.
While I will not go into full detailed reviews of every group, because I consider that to be in poor taste and it can sometimes lead to personal jabs at specific groups, I will say that I agree with the placement results. Findlay's show was absolutely spectacular and their show is extremely difficult and performed extremely well. They definitely deserved Best Vocals and Best Band. In terms of Choreography, I personally preferred ETC's choreo for its difficulty and originality and Twinsburg's for cleanliness, over Findlay's. I am not saying that Findlay did not deserve the best choreography award, I'm just saying that if it were up to me, I would've given them a very close third in choreography. That being said, remember that I am no expert on anything show choir related. I have never taken a single dance class in my life, nor do I have a music degree. All six groups in finals were miles better than they were in prelims, and it was honestly one of the most competitive finals I have ever witnessed. Congrats to all groups!

I got to throw Piqua in that grouping also. They came out on fire did the show twice as well as preliminary

The students, parents and directors of Music In Motion would like to thank all of the talented choirs that came out and competed yesterday, as well as their fans who followed them. We were truly humbled to have so much amazing talent grace our stage. This, of course, includes the four middle school choirs we hosted. This was our first year with a middle school division and we were thrilled to have such amazing young choirs perform.

Congratulations to Ankeney and Findlay on your victories. The competition in both divisions was incredibly tough. The Findlay directors even earned some "wings" in the process. Hopefully they enjoy their reward.

Thank you all for bringing your shows, talent and energy to Solon! We hope to see everyone back in 2015!

Just wondering, did Twinsburg actually perform "Wings"?

Unfortunately not.

Thank you Solon for putting on a first rate competition!!!! Honestly one of the most competitive finals I have ever seen. Every group improved of their preliminaries and I honestly did not have a clue who was going to win this one. Great night of Show Choir!!!

Wowza. So much fun watching the live feed. I didn't know how great ETC was this year. I can honestly say I think I would have them first with only Piqua let to preform.
