You were totally chasing Waldo around, Jimmy!
That was kind of amazing, I will admit.

I'm pretty sure Waldo was a power company member... a short blonde power company member,....

I think his name starts with a j? he has a solo maybe...?

I'm pretty sure I saw some Power Company members chasing that poor Waldo around! I thought it was pretty funny.

thanks!!! i emailed your director to tell her how amazing you guys were! waconis is going to be a touch competition. should both bemidji and kennedy make finals, hopefully we are far enough apart where we can watch eachother again! congrats again on a great show!!!

yeah she told us about it in class, and it all made us especially excited for next weekend, it meant a lot for someone to actually voice their opinion haha but i think all of the show choirs there did an amazing job, and yeahh, waconia is most definitely going to be a tough comp, but thats what makes them fun. best of luck and congrats to you guys as well!

That would be the Neenah fans...they have red and white long sleeve polo shirts.

Love the warm fuzzies coming off this thread - it's so crazy to think I wasn't at Winterfest this year (though my parents are certainly happy they didn't have to work concessions all day).

Hastings - I love your show, especially your opener! and i must have taken foreverr to get the clean with the heelys congrats on grand champs!

Bemidji - i seriously had my mouth open during your whole show i especially loved the chairs and the features, i'm so upset i don't get to see you guys again next weekend because we'll be in critique when you guys are performing but good luck!

After sitting and watching all of finals (and most of the varsity day shows) my predictions for placings were:

GC: Bloomington Kennedy "Rhythm in Gold"
1RU: Bemidji "Vocalmotive"
2RU: Hastings "Riverside Company"
3RU: Bemidji "La Voce Ballo"
4RU: Waconia "Power Company"
5RU: Altoona "Locomotion"

I'll be on here later to elaborate on the day (lol) but I have a tanning appointment in a few minutes so I'm peacin' out! Later!!!

1. Jalapeno sequins rule. Chili pepper dresses are the bomb. (Waconia knows that) All of our dresses had those on them. (except for the ballad ones).

Waconia- I loved your ballad (for reasons only Bemidji people would know) and I can't wait to see you again!

Chi Hi- I sat next to you guys during awards and you were all really friendly and fun. Congrats on the Best Spirit award and I wish I could've seen your show. Good luck with the rest of your season!

Old Abe- I really enjoyed your show but I can't remember much else about it at the moment so I wont comment on anything else.

I also enjoyed seeing the adorable middle school groups and Casey was one of the coolest hosts ever. Btw, what's up with all the dresses having those jalapeno shaped sequins? I saw like three groups with them and I've never seen them before.

Obviously Jalapeno shaped sequins are the best!

and thank you

I really enjoyed this competition and I wish I wasn't a senior so I could come back next year.

B Kennedy- Your show represents pretty much everything I don't enjoy about watching show choir but I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! You're opener was innovative, creepy, and the vocals were amazing. I loved your take on a very dark theme, it was very amusing (in a good way). The umbrellas were really cool even though I usually hate props like that. I can't remember much else because of my post-competition daze but you guys stood out to me the most. I don't remember if we see each other again later but I hope we do.

Hastings- I don't remember much from your show right now but I can say the heelies are cooler in person and congrats on your win!

I just wanted to say congrats to everyone who competed yesterday. There were so many great groups, and Bemidji was so excited to be back at Eau Claire and be apart of the 'Winterfest'.

Our host (casey) was one of the most supportive hosts we have ever had at a competition before, so thank you for going above and beyond to make us feel loved and welcome!

*Bemidji Vocalmotive: great job on stepping it on in finals, and pulling into 2nd with best choreo! You guys deserve it! So proud of you!!!
* Waconia "The Current": SOOO proud of you guys. Of course I didnt get to see you guys perform since LVB was right after you, but I heard you guys did great, and I was soooo happy you placed 3rd! Thanks for letting me be your choreographer!!!!!
*Bemidji La Voce Ballo: HOLY MOLY! I just cant even tell you how proud I am of you. Not only to get FIRST PLACE in the Class A division, but then to perform in finals for the first time EVER (with only 10 mins to get ready) and then to step it up even more than prelims. 4th runner up in Class AA is so awesome for you guys, you have no idea how great you were, I am so proud to be your director and choreographer!
*Hastings, Waconia, and B.Kennedy: I had no clue who was gonna pull out which places, all of the shows were so good, and everyone really performed their hearts out! Waconia, great ballad and energy on stage! You guys have really stepped it up. B.Kennedy-excellent as always, it was soooo wierd that yours and Bemidji's show was similiar in theme, but also wayy different with the songs. Great show, and great creativity! Hastings, congrats on a great win! We kind of thought since they didnt announce the best choreo and best vocals that maybe you had sweeped it, but even so i was like well if they did then they deserve to hear that announced, but congrats on Grand Champs and Best Vocals!

A job well done to all groups, and all people involved in the competition!!! Also I must say the backstage crew people were so helpful!!!
