I was upset to hear that there was a group or two who sabotaged their homeroom and possibly even took things when they found out their group didn't make finals. I hope no one on here took part in that =/ I was disappointed. On behalf of the Zionsville hosts, though, they were very glad to have such a nice group =]

On behalf of the Choralaires, please tell them THANK YOU! They were fantastic hosts, and we really enjoyed being there. We loved our sunglasses as well as the pictures that they plastered EVERYWHERE around the school

Shelbyville was not issma.

and sullivan had not beat 5 groups that made it in finals. They did not compete in the same division as some, and the mixed group did not compete against all those girls groups.

and edgewood's score sheet is honestly the worst set up ever, even worse than issma sores and i really hate those sheets.....

at first i was surprised with the standings of prelims, but then when i actually thought about it, it made a whole lot of sense... overall the choreo of many of the groups was rather at the same level, it really came down to vocals, and that is why things turned out the way they did....

I could be wrong, but I believe Shelbyville is not a state qualifying site, and would not be using the ISSMA score sheet. It would be Shelbyville's own score sheet, can anyone confirm this?

I do not see why an out state thing would matter? I mean at DeKalb the top four groups were from out of state, and DeKalb was a state qaulifying site.

Congrats to Brownsburg! I was sad to see that Sullivan was not near the top too, as I alwasy enjoy thier shows. Sullivan, good luck at FAME, I am sure you guys will do amazing!

/controversy inc

With Indiana's state competition system, out of state groups shouldn't go to any of their competitions. This result is exactly why. Why give points to out of state choirs?

That's the only way I can explain these two groups placing so low. (Unless they were poor, and Sullivan is certainly not poor.)

Controversy aside, well done to all the choirs. Everyone works really hard for their results.

Nothing really happened, we had what we thought were some of our best shows But yes it was surprising that 5 groups we had already beat at previous competitions made finals over us. I guess in indiana the judges just thought it was deserving of a 9th & 10th place overall. But things happen and we're not gonna let it bring us down. I mean we leave for florida in 2 days so we're excited!

Congratulations to the women's groups who had scores high enough to make finals ahead of some other good groups. I wasn't sure how I felt about having women & mixed groups competing together in finals, but I think it is good to show that women's groups work just as hard and CAN compete with the mixed groups and do well. =]

You should expect a lot from both Norwell groups. Carla Doles creates talent wherever she goes.

That's definatly not the only thng that's suprising.
