I thought all of the choirs were awesome!!!! Congrats to Hurricane on their win! Hello to Joy (the lady from Hurricane that sat behind me in prelims. You were so nice!) Winfield people...you make me so proud! I love every one of you! Hoover, I love your show! (and you have an awesome drummer!) Portsmouth...loved it! Sissonville...what a unique show and very entertaining. Nitro, you were simply amazing! I didn't get to see St. Clairsville or Cabell Midland cause I was downstairs helping the stage crew get ready. Marietta, great job on your show. Can't wait to see you all again at Teays Valley and Hanover. Again, I loved Hurricane's show. The gospel quartet ought to go on the road. You have several amazing soloists. Capital, I saw your show at Swing Sing and was amazed and blessed by it then. Your female soloist should try out for American Idol!!! I was equally blessed by it today. Brush, you have such great spirit! Your parents that sat behind me during prelims were so nice!!! Hope we get to see you again. The Bound 4 Broadway exhibition group did a great job. I thought the solo in the long coat in the beginning of your show was ingenious. Who knew the whole choir was under there?! Keep up the good work.

Winfield's Spaghetti Dinner and show is tomorrow afternoon if any of you are in the area and would like to come out and see us again. Winfield High School 12:00-3:30. Two shows...1:00 and 2:30.

Keep singing and always keep a song in your heart.

OK, I'm a Winfield alum & I saw all of the choirs that performed today because I'm a big geek, but if I don't mention your group & you want to know what I think let me know in a PM. Otherwise I won't critique, which I think is fair.

St. C- I really like your show. Interesting theme & great song choices. "Walking in Memphis" was really great. The little guy with the solo in "I Can't Stand Still" is an amazing dancer. Fun show.

Capital- Nice job. The female soloist in the ballad is amazing. If you read this, seriously, you are such a wonderful & strong singer. Could definitely tell David Legg choreographed considering many of the moves were traditional old "Poca" moves, but still good.

Brush- I liked the show. The guy in the Pepto-Bismol colored suit distracted me the entire show during the day. Other than that, good job. Girls last costumes a lil risque, but I've seen worse. I love the nicknames on the backs of your t-shirts! And you have way-energetic parents.

Winfield- OK guys. These were my first & second viewings of this show. Much better in the evening, especially energy, diction, & the band. I wasn't sure how this show would work, but I like it. I hated the closer on first listen in the cultural center a few months back, but I like it now. I heart the costumes. Adam, bless your heart, I know what you went through. Good job soloists (all 4 of you) especially Briana, that solo fits you very well. Morgan, you did a great hosting job (I can't believe I've known you since you were 5, I feel old). Oh & Haught, you can't dance, but you did the sprinkler MUCH better in the evening show as well as getting special applause from us alumni for wearing your tennis shoes. (You know I like bugging you). Good job on the concept award. I was shocked about the choreo. award, no offense. I'll will always love GA so keep up the good work.

Hurricane- AMAZING SHOW! Your best I've ever seen, really. My first comp. was in 1999...but this year's show is awe-inspiring. I bought a video because of your show. Great vocals. Nice tumbling, lifts, jumps. Interesting song choice in "Tradition" but done very well. The quartet blows my mind. I met Eric's parents (the bass) & you rock. I heard you might be making a CD soon. If it happens let me know, I want it. I love the costumes. You've lived up to the hype about you in my opinion & this GC was well-deserved. Congrats.

A friend from Brush told me Winfield was in first after the daytime. Any truth to this?

just a few comments since I am unfortuntly a very opinionated person

Hurricane - I want to apologize now for always being so negative about you're group. Don't know if it was because I really didn't like what you all have done in the past or what, but your show this year is the first show that you've done that I've actually really liked in the 6 years that I have been into the "show choir thing". You all were the only group at the comp that gave me chills when you performed...and chills all throughout the show. It was an awesome performance, and a very good show. great job and good luck in finals :-D

winfield - 5 words: Jeff Haught is a genius. lol...he is so creative and comes up with some of the most off the wall things..and i love it. Great job today, i absolutly love your show, it's really great. I loved the choreography as well. great job

good job to everyone that performed, I didnt see many groups, just the last 4 and the exhibition groups.

and of course, much love to my group, the VIPs....you guys were awesome as usual!

hope finals comes out just as interesting as prelims good luck everyone

I just got back from the prelimbs of this competition. It was great. First of all I would like to congratulate Hurricane on a great performance and a great Class Champ. Umm...Winfield's show...it's different. But I definately think that Capital shoul've won their class. Their ballad was freakin awesome. And I think Nitro should've made finals..but whatever, I'm not a judge.

P.S. Congratulations to Justin Warner on Best Male Soloist!
