Very cool, I didn't know that. Well then it makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up.

I do want to say what Lee Davis did with the percussion was cool, but I didn't totally get how that fit into Boogie Wonderland..

I think it's because, on the soundtrack and in the movie, all of the foot stomps handled in the later portion of the song is done by percussion, with the exception of Mumble himself. Also, in the soundtrack, there is actual drumming for the sake of drumming in the last few seconds of the song.

Thanks for the cool words about Amherst. I appreciate the support, especially from Directors. I agree with everyone about TD Ballad. However, sometimes timing is everything and :Letters" has such a powerful story. It hits home for lots of people and the students really did sing it well, they sing it with so much emotion. Both the female and Male soloist went to Amherst as well. Thanks for mentioning us.

I do want to say what Lee Davis did with the percussion was cool, but I didn't totally get how that fit into Boogie Wonderland.. But again the students loved the cool factor. Congratulations to Lee Davis. Thaomas Dale your Ballad was amazing.

Menchville stick in there, all the hard work will pay off, don't get discouraged. I remember getting Goods in stead of excellents when we first started. I enjoyed your show.

Yes, yes...High Impact...you're right.

I just loved TD's ballad this year. I couldn't wait to hear it at every competition. Then again, TD has been one of my favorite show choirs since we started competing. I really love their sound. To me, they find that just right spot in between sounding broadway and opera.

Congratulations to Amherst on their debut in the "A" category. To me, you proved time of day doesn't matter. Thank you for the inspiration.

Congratulations to all the choirs on this show choir season. I guess it's time to start doing it all over again!!!

i'm not really into argueing anyways.

Matoaca's mixed group is High Impact.

i don't understand how amherst's ballad was
that amazing. what was it anyway?
i love dale's ballad and how can

well. last night was rather weird. oh well.
lee davis is very good as well.
but 2nd?
sigh.
yeah, i definately didn't even talk to you.
we were supposed to finish that arguement. lol.
oh well.

i wasn't really paying attention during the awards.
and not many people were there that go on here.
so i'll do my best since i was half asleep. lol.
Girls:
Division A Winner.
Thomas Dale "Knightingales"
Best Vocals.
yadda yadda yadda.

Mixed:
Division A.
1st: Lee-Davis "Madrijazz"
2nd: Thomas Dale "Knightscene"
3rd: Midlothian "i forgot there name" lol.

but lee davis basically took all the awards for that.
that is all.

Actually, I don't want to argue with you...I just wanted to say hello! We have different opinions of different things, and I think that's okay. I don't think we need to force each other to agree.

However, I should have done this before the awards. I was to crushed afterwards to talk to anyone. :-(

Anyways, here is some more on the results, to add to your post.

Girls B Division:
2nd: Powhatan Revv'd Up
1st: Amherst Belles of Amherst

Mixed B Division:
3rd: Menchville Monarch Magic
2nd: Matoaca (They are normally an A show choir, so I haven't learned their name yet)
1st: ARGS InAChorDance

Also, I think Midlothian's name is Just For Show

Best Ballad: Amherst Amherechos
Best Costumes: Amherst Amherechos
Best Show Band: Thomas Dale Knight Scene

Can you remember anymore of the special captions? There were seriously a million.

Menchville will be there. Other competitors in our division include Amherst, Matoaca, and ARGS.

Good luck to every one.

Joedaddy...looks like I might meet you tonight. It was mentioned to me that I should check out tonight's competition. Since many of our local choirs will be in attendance, I will have to do that!!!

Good luck to everyone!!!!
