i'm in vocalpoint and we didnt think that we would get anything here, but we got Best Vocals and we got runner up! But the funny thing about it is that EVERY SINGLE PERSON (INCLUDING ME) had A COLD AND A BAD SORE THROAT! and we didnt think our vocals were good. Because at opelika we did WAYYY BETTER AT COREGRAPHY, but vocals could have been better. But i'm just glad that we did good, and there was alot of competion there too, and every group did awesome.

I can not wait to see Spain Park at show choir nationals, i have yet to get to see y'alls show...with the way we have been scheduled back to back at competitions, the best i have been able to do is listen through the doors at Homewood at the stair because we were lined up to preform right after y'all...by the way, good luck in Nashville and i am so going to buy a finals dvd from Homewood so i can see y'alls show!

aww thank you so much! we are so excited. =]

Yeh....He did!!!TOTALLY!

Yea, you did word that kind of funny. I agree though that you can not compare our choreography. Since Enterprise is more of a hip-hop feel and ours is more of an older classy feel. I watched Enterprise and i love their show! i hope no one is thinking that i am bashing them...because i think they are GREAT, the funny thing is though...i could have sworn that Jackson Academy and Pascagoula had the same choreographer...AND Long Beach also used who Jackson Academy is using at the moment...but, divaditw i will have to agree with everyone and say y'all are doing really good for it being only your second year to direct them!

are you kidding? enterprise's choreography is insane. less arms and more hip hop which entertains the crowd. yes arms are good for show choir, but arms the entire show and step touches makes it very easy to create a beautiful sound, and they also make it boring because what else can you do with your arms except for putting them in different angles. enterprise dances difficult stuff and sings at the same time as well as spain park and homewood. impact is VERY good this year, but i wouldnt compare choreography

Well I have seen Enterprise and they are great. Their choreography doesn't compare to Pasc. It is much harder and very clean....and they sing tremendously. John Baker is an awesome vocal director.
I think Enterprise has a new life with their choreo this year. Long Beach used to beat them in competitions and used to represent the A class very well.. NOONE has come up to that level yet.

haha well thats what alot of the parents said (that it looked like it was supposed to happen). YES the pianoist was terrified considering thats our DIRECTOR. girls on the highest riser (sp) looked back and saw set crew like on the ground laughing really hard. our panels had silk screen prints over HUGE peices of sheet rock placed in a wooden box type of thing. the wheels on them however aren't that great and the poor set crew girl trying to turn it couldn't help it. we're just really lucky no one got hurt and that they didn't fall the other direction, meaning landing on the stage hitting one of us or even worse, hitting our amazing band. glad yall thought it was supposed to happen though!
...and yes, the audiences faced told it all. everyone's mouths were wide open with shock. atleast that gave us something to laugh at and keep facials up!

yeah but i felt really bad for the pianoist..she was scared to death when the last one smacked the piano. I looked around the room and almost everyone had their hand over their mouth in shock.. " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> at least yall have memories though.

... Last year we had a girl standing between to fabric backdrops and the one in front of her was supposed to drop at the beginning of her solo and it fell on top of her and she got trapped underneath the fabric curtain thing.. we all felt so bad, but we still laugh about it to this day.

The backdrops were being turned to the next side........when the farthest one on the right toppled over causing a domino effect on the rest of them.
