We need to get some set lists going too. What songs did everybody do? We also need to start a Southern Show Choir 2008 youTube thread. I'll start one and put a link to it here once I'm done.
FYI: Albertville won best band award. Just thought I would throw that out there.
It was so good to see Petal yesterday! I loved their show and the song selection. Bethany Fagan, you better sing, girl! What an amazing voice! Enterprise had a good show as well.

thank you and i really thought that west jones did an awesome finals show....you all completly turned it up in finals....and cool backdrop...o and enterprise's balad freak awesome...i didnt really get to see petal though i wanted to bad...but anyways opelika gets the freak awesome award this weekend for the best hostin choir...thanks everybody
They only gave a Grand Champion for A division, and that was North Forrest...
My thoughts:
Enterprise: Wow... You guys were fantastic... I absolutely loved the closer... And they sounded absolutely wonderful...
Petal: I loved the show...They are much better than last year... The ballad gave me chills... The female soloist is one of the best singers I have ever heard...
Homewood: They had my favorite show design... All of their soloists sang very well... The April James choreography was very intense and they had a nice sound too...
Albertville: I really thought that they should have gotten 1st RU in Finals behind Enterprise... The closer was fabulous and they had a very nice choral sound the whole show...
I was also very impressed with Auburn and Atlee... Auburn has improved much from years past, and I thought Atlee did very well...

While I liked Petal's show, the improvement from an amazing prelim to an even better finals show by Homewood I thought would've been enough to put them in 2nd. But all in all, I thought it was a great show, and I'm willing to bet that the top 7 were very close, as Auburn and Atlee were both very strong and easily could have made finals.

Since I don't think they give Prelim results for the AA division, and it appears that only AA division choirs made the finals, does anyone know the results of the Ladies competition and the placements for the A choirs? (I'm assuming that Oak Mountain took the Men's Competition... lol)

There seems to be a trend. I initially picked Enterprise to win the competition with Petal as 1RU... but I'm officially changing mine.
