Okay so my predictions for this comp are:

GC: Albertville/Tupelo
1RU:Albertville/ Tupelo
2RU:South Jones
3RU: Homewood
4RU: West Jones

It is way too close to call for the GC spot. But those will definitely be the top two. I don't know what the scores were from Belmont but all I can say is that Tupelo and Albertville both had amazing shows so it's gonna be a close one again! I can't wait!

Mike Weaver is a critique judge.. he's not really on the judging panel at all until finals. there is two critique judges and maybe only one of them will be put on the panel during finals.. don't know who yet. Just cause Mike Weaver might be judging doesn't mean some show choirs automatically have it in for the finals!

And this makes it okay because? He still might be judging his own work for finals. Why is this allowed?

We're all excited here at West Jones.. This is our last Southern competition, so hopefully we'll go out with a bang.. Best of luck to everyone.. I'm very eager to see Tupelo's show..

Agreed. Both are groups are very solid this year..should be a great competition. I can't wait to see South Jones and Homewood, heard they are both strong this year as well. Just praying that it doesnt rain on Saturday!

Tupelo has an amazing show this year and I think putting them at 4th place at this competition is a little off. If they perform up to par like they did at Belmont they could surprise a lot of people.

THANKS FOR THIS!!! Albertville is great competition also... very close at Belmont. Can't wait for Petal.... GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY!!

PREDICTIONS:
GC: Albertville
1RU: South Jones
2RU: Homewood
3RU: Tupelo (Haven't seen them yet but heard great things about them)
4RU: West Jones (LOVE THEM SINCE I'M FROM THERE!)

I like your predictions! But i'm biased haha....I do however disagree with Tupelo's ranking on this. I saw them at Belmont where they placed 2nd right behind Albertville who won. And I must say (w/out actually seeing the score sheets that is) that it had to have been a close call.

Like I said, I think it was a close call between Tupelo and Albertville at Belmont, Albertville was just a little bit better (Aville did win best vocals which sealed the deal). But Tupelo, in my opinion, could be an easy 2nd maybe even GC if they kick it up a notch. Good luck to all!

Drew I wouldn't get to cared away with this line of thought as two judges at William Carey had Perp ahead of Imagination. That just proves you never know what judges are going to think. Not to mention it's already been covered on here several of these judges have ties to certain groups, who knows how this will play out.

You are correct.. I had forgotten how crazy this competition was last year with Tupelo women making Finals over some GREAT mixed groups and Clinton being in 2nd in prelims... I apologize to anyone from Prep that I offended.. However, that does not mean that I have changed my opinion.. I still think that they will finish 6th or 7th overall.. If they make Finals, then I have some crow to eat..

Pascagoula isn't coming, my friend. But seriously, if you are referring to Prep, I hate to inform you that West and Northeast on top of their game are better than Prep any day. Now granted, this is Prep's first year, so I can definitely see them making big noise very soon. I just don't think they will beat BOTH West and Northeast this weekend.
