Agreed. Also Carroll just took vocals and band off Center Grove last weekend... I think they are also gonna be a force here. This is gonna be a close one for sure.
Buffalo Grove is always fantastic and will most likely beat Twinsburg out for the top spot. Carroll and Homestead both placed second at their competitions last weekend and Northrop consistently places in finals here. Dwenger missed the night show by less than half a point last year and is much better this year so I would not count us out either.

I honestly have no idea on the Varsity Division, most of those groups I've been at competitions with but haven't really had time to see. Good luck to all of the groups!
we are excited to come out again this year. we were really pleased with the way the invitational was run last year and excited for this year once again. luckily we havent had the cancellations in southern indiana so we are keeping up with the work. this will also be The Castle Show Choirs first week out, but be prepared for some competition from us. we will be bringing it!
This will be Music Warehouse, Sophisticated Ladies, and New Edition's first weekend out. Hopefully they will be able to overcome this week's lack of practice because of cancellations.

We still have some room for the twentieth annual DeKalb Show Choir Invitational to be held Saturday, February 12, 2011. This year DeKalb’s Classic Connection and Sound Sensation will be hosting a competition for Championship High School Mixed Choirs, Varsity High School Mixed Choirs, single-gender Choirs, High School Soloists, and Middle School Show Choirs. For Indiana choirs, we are a preliminary site for the ISSMA State Show Choir Finals.
As we have done in the past, the first choir registered will receive the last time slot of the day, and the last choir registered will be given the first time slot of the day. So the quicker you respond, the better the time slot you will get.

We know that everyone is experiencing budget cuts and are being forced to make financial choices this year. DeKalb is cutting our entry fees to help you stretch your department dollars. Our normal registration fee is $225.00 for the Championship division and $200.00 for Varsity and Single-Gender divisions. For the upcoming year, if you submit your registration and money by July 30th, our entry fee per choir is $100.00. If you submit your registration and money by September 3rd, our entry fee per choir is $150. After September 3rd, our entry fee returns to normal. Nothing but our entry fee changes, you will get the same great venues you have come to expect from DeKalb. This is just a way to help you stretch your limited dollars and for us to get as many choirs as possible to be successful.
