It sounds like the choir is singing Duel of the Fates around the 9:22 mark, can someone confirm?

Indeed. There's also a fun nod to the original E.T. at the 5:52 mark (both in vocals and choreography!), during the Katy Perry "E.T." song. Josh Greene loves to pepper his arrangements with fun easter eggs that pull everything together!

Whoever he is, he also does a wonderful job in their 2011 show... which I think is every bit as amazing as their 2012 show.

His name is Kentucky Clawson. He was also a lead in the 2010 show as well.

I got to meet Kentucky at Show Choir Nationals in 2010 and spent some time getting to know him and the other leads Sevi and Mary Lou at the Wild Horse get together. The funny thing about Kentucky is that he is such a dynamic performer on stage and so extroverted and demonstrative, but off stage he is the exact opposite. He was super quiet and reserved.
