Fab 5 was really fun last night! I didn't make it for the prep groups, and I missed 10th Street but I got to see the other varsity groups. It was really nice. SO glad it returned to the Paramount. Felt like returning home to me lol. Prairie has a really cool show. Kennedy, as always, brings it when they perform. Jefferson has AMAZING hair and shoes. And dresses. And choreo lol. Wash's band was killer!!! Every group brought their own unique style and each had it's positives! Great job!

I just want to say great job and congrats to all the prep and varsity groups that performed today! The finale piece as well as all the solo ensembles were amazing to listen to! Way to represent CR!

Sorry for the late response but yeah Prairie was the first to perform for both the prep and varsity shows. The order of groups were/are:

Prairie
Kennedy
Jefferson
Linn-Mar
Washington

Hey Prairie people:

Are your prep and varsity groups first to perform?

Well, I decided to skip closing night of a play I helped direct to come to Fab 5! So be grateful :-P This will be my first Fab 5 since 2006 which is sad to me considering I went to every single one of them before then. I might not make it for the prep group, though so sorry in advance if I don't!

Oh, Seeds of Hope.... :-P That was the finale I think my senior year. My favorite finale piece was "This Is The Moment". I remember in rehearsal I popped out the soprano high C and it was AMAZING (bahahaha)

Hahaha that's great

To those of you SCC people out there Fab Five is a performance done by the schools in the Cedar Rapids Area: Jefferson, Kennedy, Linn-Mar, Prairie, and Washington, and it is fundraiser for each of the schools; I'm not sure whether it is for the Music Departments or just the Show Choirs, but it is a blast, if you have tickets, you're in for your moneys worth. It is this Saturday February 2nd, I believe there are some seats left, tickets are 18 dollars. Again this is not a competition but a fundraiser for each of the schools. It is a good time, and this year we have a special finale, dedicated to a great man, Allen Koepke.

I know that the Fab Five show choir concert is a big thing in Cedar Rapids and I haven't seen a forum started for this year so I decided to. So go ahead and talk away my fellow Cedar Rapids people
