I haven't seen Fairfield this year, but I have liked majority of their shows in the past, and they are always a top group. I have seen auburn and they do have great vocals, but at the same time I can see Fairfield sweeping this competition. Although I get the concept of the auburn show, I do not necessarily enjoy it, it is good, just not my taste
Well, do you enjoy Back To The Future? If not, the Fairfield show may not be your taste either.
I haven't seen Fairfield this year, but I have liked majority of their shows in the past, and they are always a top group. I have seen auburn and they do have great vocals, but at the same time I can see Fairfield sweeping this competition. Although I get the concept of the auburn show, I do not necessarily enjoy it, it is good, just not my taste. Jackson prep I have not seen this year, but have heard good things, I do not normally watch them at competitions because they have been really flashy in the past years, their best show in my opinion was when they were small mixed and had the amazing ballad. But they are top three in my head. Homewood, I'm not sure what to say, parts of your show were great, parts not as much, top 2 in show soloist in my head tho. Choreo is not your strong point, I could pick out a lot of things, but I'm very aware at paying attention to detail, and dancing was my strong point in high school, same with Petal, but I did enjoy petals show a lot! Although the concept and design isn't the greatest it is well put together and the up to date songs make it good, I enjoy this Fire show much better then the last one I saw in South Jones a few years ago. Keep up the work each group. It's gonna be a great comp. wish I could attend
Auburn hasn't lost best vocals this year and Jackson Prep tied with Homewood for best vocals at SJ. I distributed the captions oddly, but from what I've seen/heard that's how I think it'll go. I don't think anyone in the south that I've seen this year, besides maybe Albertville on at their best and Clinton, will come close to Auburn vocally. But that's just my personal opinion. I haven't seen Prep, but I've heard it's great! I watched Fairfield on the live feed from Marysville and they were great from what I could tell, and I'm sure they've grown even more since then! I can see them stealing BC from Prep. I think the top 3 will be pretty tight.
Prep has something like 21 seniors who have been working with their director from 7th grade on... I honestly don't see much of anyone beating them this year just because of the performing experience on the stage. I do see it being very tight between the top 4 and it could totally go in any order between them. My predictions this year have been pretty awful though so we shall see.
I am in search of an informed individual regarding this event. I am new to this event and have four questions.
1. Is there an evening finals at this event?
2. If yes, how many finalists are there?
3. Is the Single Gender Groups eligible for finals?
4. Is there a schedule for the Finals?
I think it breaks at Tift County. This past weekend at Tallassee, Briarwood was a small mixed and Tift was a large mixed!
Thanks, Garrett. I added it above. If there are any division discrepancies let us know and we can edit it.

In the past, Opelika's competition has had a Tier I and Tier II for the mixed division. Is it reasonable to assume that division is at the break? Or does anyone know which choirs are Tier I/II?
Wow... The top three/four in this one are gonna be tight... I'm thinking the top three are going to be:
Fairfield, Jackson Prep, and Homewood... All three are choreographed by April I think... And all three have outstanding vocals (with a Prep-Homewood tie this weekend past weekend for best vocals).

These times are subject to change over the next week, but these are the groups that are competing.
There's a schedule floating around somewhere
I believe the middle schools attending include:
Lake forest
homewood
auburn
Enterprise
fairfield
Simmons
Oak mt.
Again, I created this topic to answer the question about where Clinton will be attending.
Fairfield will be traveling from Ohio to compete here. I assume the regulars will return: Homewood, Auburn, Enterprise. Albertville hasn't competed here since 2012, so I'm wondering if they'll be here to compete against Fairfield (from seeing posts on here, Fairfield will be at Wapakoneta in Ohio and so will Albertville)
Will Clinton be coming here for the first time since 2011? Is there a schedule?
